Our class will be presenting a skit on MAP dress codeon October 13th in the assembly. I have discussed the plot and characters with kids and they have picked their roles. however there were few kids absent in the class so we will discuss the plot again so everyone gets a chance to participate. After the final plot I will send your child's dialogue lines and props needed for the character.

Test will be on September 29th from Unit A chapter 1,2 and 3

Dear Parents,

Today we covered the lesson on "Tawheed". We discussed briefly the historical context when Islam was revealed and why the concept of tawheed is important. Then we talked about other monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism) and their relationship with Islam. Finally, we learned some basic terminology, specifically Tawheed (mono-theism), Kufr (a-theism), and Shirk (poly-theism). Next week, we'll continue this discussion.

Homework for Sep 22nd: Do exercises 4 and 5 from Unit A, Chapter 1 (pages 6, 7 from the workbook).

Today we covered our lesson UNIT A Chapter 2 I think of Allah first. We also did a wudu activity as part of our salah lesson. Please work on practicing wudu at home and I will continue to work on it at school for the next few weeks.

I also gave the kids a paper of the syllabus for the first semester and I asked them to have a parent sign the bottom. Please do so, as I want to make sure I have a way of communitcating with you and that you know what is expected of your kids. The syllabus is an easy way to keep an account of what we will be doing every sunday and what is coming up. I have limited home work to just one page because I know kids have a lot to going on in school and for Quran class. I will do as much as possible at sunday school and also make it fun Insha Allah. 

Looking ahead, the first test will be on September 29th (UNIT A chapters 1, 2 and 3)

        This Sunday we covered Unit A, Chapter 3. The concept of Shahadah, Oneness of Allah was introduced. We also spent some time memorizing Shahadah and its meaning.

Surah Al-Humaza Ayaah no. 1-4 N.Q: Lesson 12 line no. 7,8,9 Dua of sneeze Arabic: page 7,10 H.W: page 8,9 Please make sure your child practice surah each day for at least 10times. This is the only way your child can memorise Surahs if they don’t do it each day it will be hard as we will be adding two ayyahs each week.

As-Salaamu Alaikum parents and students,

Welcome to the MAP Junior Youth Group '19/20! Alhamdulillah it was great to meet all the students on Sunday. We went over the class structure and expectations for this year. I have also set up an email group and a Google Drive folder which I have already emailed instructions to the group. I will keep updates on Thinkwave as well but all assignments will be on the Google Drive as well. 

I did hand out a hard copy of the assignment for Sept 15th and is also attached here. Please have students read the Introduction and Chapter 1 of 'In the Footsteps..,' book for Sunday's discussion. 

The basic structure on class days will be:

1st period: Seerah studies (In the Footsteps of the Prophet) , current events, activity planning

2nd period: Tafsir lessons (Sr. Tabassum or Imam Khaled), guest speakers

I would like to welcome all the students to the new sunday school year. We have one book "I love islam 4" as our text book. There is worksheet book as well. For salah we will use Salah for beginers.

This week we introduced ourselves to each other. we covered chapter1 Unit A on Prophet Ibrahim and his son.

Homework: Answer the qustions on page A 15. I have told students not to write the questions only answer are required.

I usually take test after every 3-4 chapters are done. if you have any questions or concerns dont hestitate to ask.

We talked how everything around us is created by Allah (SWT). Each week we will cover a chapter from the book in the first half of the class. In the second half we will cover Salah. We will start memorizing the Salah in a few weeks InshaAllah. This week we worked on memorizing the five daily prayers names.
