Assalamualaikum,

In class on January 29, the students continued reading, memorizing, and learning the meaning of Surah Ash-Sharh on page 100-101 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. We reviewed the surah. Next class, Sunday, February 5th is the Surah Ash-Sharh Memorization AND Meaning Test.

We also reviewed Lesson 6 in the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

The homework is to complete the Surah Ash-Sharh Week 1 worksheet if not done yet. I did not have a chance to give this worksheet to the students in class, but just writing the student's name, "Surah Ash-Sharh," and the 7 days of the week with signatures for each day that the student listened to the surah at least two times on a piece of paper will work. If you have a printer and would like to print the worksheet, I linked it to a previous message, but writing it on a sheet of paper is okay too.

The students should continue practicing the memorization and meaning of Surah Ash-Sharh to prepare for the test and practice Lesson 6.

The Junior Jeopardy quiz (against other levels) is next class, on February 5th, and the competition is on February 12th. Here is the link (https://sundayschool.mapitt.org/updates) for the study materials to help Level 4 win!

Missing work:

Students that have not yet completed the Surah At-Teen test or Lessons 1-5 test must do them as soon as possible! If you are a new student, don't worry about this; just focus on Surah Ash-Sharh for now.

Also, if your child has not yet turned in the Surah At-Teen Week 2 or Week 3 worksheets, please encourage your child to do these assignments and turn them in as soon as possible. The worksheets for Surah At-Teen Weeks 2 and 3 are linked in previous messages. Again, new students, don't worry about these past assignments for now.
