Assalamu alaykum parents,
I hope all families are well and getting ready for the blessings and mercy of Ramadan.

For this week, I encourage all students to complete the homework sheets that they were given 2 weeks ago and bring them back to school. Also practice daily Surah Al-falaq, review Surah Al-Fatiha and Al-Ikhlas.
I want them to review Allah names: Al-Rahman, Al-Raheem, Al-Kabeer, and Al-Malik.
This Sunday, we are going to review the Surahs, Allah names, and work on a new letter (ك).
We will also listen to a story from Quran and understand the good deed in it and try to implement that deed in our daily life.
If your child did not take the test last Sunday, then please work with them to prepare and take it this Sunday. Doing the homework sheets, knowing Allah names, and reviewing the Surah is what they need to prepare.
Thank you!

Assalamu alaykum parents,
Today’s class was very productive, this only happened because of your care and support, thank you!
We are going to have a test coming in the middle of February, so the kids need to prepare well for that!
We recited today Surah alfalaq( after reviewing Al-Ikhlas and Al-Fatiha), we learned the meaning of the Surah: I ask Allah protection from bad things in life, like DARKNESS( can not see well and do not know what to expect), and protection from MAGIC ( haram), and ENVY that someone might put on me ( envy is bad thing that Muslims should not do).
We studied 2 of Allah names:
1. Al-Kabeer: Allah is the greatest , nothing bigger than Allah, (as he created everything).
2. Al-Malik: the king of all kings. Because he owns everything and he is forever. But Allah is a king that you can always talk to, ask for help and guidance, you will always be accepted and not turned away. We talk to Allah in Salat, when we read Quran , it’s Allah speaking to us.
I encouraged them to say : لا إله إلا الله/ La ilaha illa Allah and Salla Allah Ala Muhammadصلّى الله على محمد, several times in the day in order to increase their deeds.

In Arabic: we reviewed ص ض ط ظ and learned again how to write them properly, we also learned today: ع غ ف ق and worked on all these letters in class.

During This week, they can practice writing these 8 letters from their book or print out the sheets I’ll be sending you as a pdf, these letters will be part of the test.
Continue perfecting Surah Al-Falaq daily.
Jazakum Allah khair!

Salaam parents,

I hope everyone is staying nice and warm indoors.

I am going to assign the chapter we were supposed to do today in class as homework as I don't want the students to fall behind. It is a short chapter. Please make sure this homework is done as it includes 2 assignments that will be graded and it will impact the next report card if they are zeros.

Homework: Read chapter 14: Yaqub AS and Yusuf AS on page 117 and then answer the questions on page 122. Also, I assigned the students to memorize the first half of At-Tahiyyat up until the phrase "...wa-barakatuhu". If this was not done last week, please make sure they do it this week in addition to the homework assigned from the book.

I will note down the book homework as a homework grade and At-Tahiyyat recitation will be considered a quiz grade next week.

Assalamualaikum,

In online class on January 25th, students learned ayas 4-6 of Surah Ad-Duha in the Surah Ad-Duha study guide. They also practiced the lesson on Sukoon in the "Teach Your Child to Read Arabic" book, which we will continue next week.

Assalamu alaykum parents,
I hope all families are well and stay safe over the weekend.
As you know there will be a Sunday school cancellation this weekend because of the weather, I am sending you an assignment for Quran and Arabic letters, and I hope you can find the time, if possible, to help your child do it as this would help keep them connected to the material and increase their confidence.
Jazakum Allah Khair!
