Assalamualaikum,

I hope you all had a lovely Eid!

In class on April 16th, I finished testing the kids on the memorization and meaning of Surah Ad-Dhuha on pages 96-97 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book. If for some reason your child did not take the Surah Ad-Dhuha Test yet, they will take it next class (the study guide is linked to previous messages).

More importantly, we started reviewing Ayat Al-Kursi. I gave a study guide out to each of the students with Ayat al-Kursi and the importance and translations of Ayat al-Kursi. I will link the study guide to this message. We practiced the memorization and meaning of the first FOUR lines of Ayat al-Kursi on the study guide. Please review this with your children. We will move forward with the rest of Ayat al-Kursi next class!

Meanwhile, it would be useful to review lessons 8 and 9 in the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book, and start practicing Surah Al-A'la, as that is coming soon.

Here is the plan moving forward:

- We are currently reviewing Ayatul Kursi and the important meanings/translations of it. I know some students are already familiar with Ayatul Kursi, but I still want to formally review it with everyone.
- While working on Ayatul Kursi, we will move forward in the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book, working on lessons 8 and 9 in class together. Start practicing to get ahead!
- After Ayatul Kursi, we will work on Surah Al-A’la on pages 65-67 of the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book.

Missing work:

If not done yet, please complete the Surah Ad-Dhuha Weeks 1 and 2 and Surah Ash-Sharh Week 1 worksheets as soon as possible; I linked the worksheets to previous messages.

Students that have not yet completed the Surah Ad-Dhuha test or Surah At-Teen test or Lessons 1-5 test must do them as soon as possible!

The students had to take the qualification quiz for Senior jeopardy. Afterwards we discussed the questions on the quiz.
