This week we covered our last letter yaa and finished the Alif BaTa book alhamdulillah. Also, I did the last test for Surah An-Nas as well. I wish I didn't have to say this, but a couple of students still need help. Please spend some time with your kids on memorizing this surah because next week is the last week for final grades.

Dear Parents,

Today we practiced our skit and reviewed the salah related subjects that will be covered in the test. Due to shortened classes today, we will do the oral test next week.

Optional Oral Test on Apr 21st: We are making the oral test optional as we have been practicing the salah related subjects weekly in the second semester. If a student decides to take the test, I'll use highest of the two test grades as the final grade. If he/she does not take the test, I'll use the grade from the first test. Test subjects are below:

* How to perform fard, wajib, strong sunnah and weak sunnah prayers properly (see the study guide from test 1)
*   How to perform witr, janazah, jum'a, and tarawith prayers
*   Know about musafir prayer and jamm (merging) of prayers
*   How to perform prayers in jama'ah (how to line up, what to recite behind imam, what to do if you join late)
*   How to perform wudu and ghusl

CW: Chapter 2 was covered in the class room. HW: Please prepare your kids for two Rakat Salat. The test will be verbal with points distributed on different steps of Salat and recitation starting from intention to the end. Recitation of this will be bonus points. This Test and other project has been has been announced on previous announcements. Make up day for the test is April 21st Sunday. Please check more detail on those. Both the Test and project have a lot of weightage. Project was due last Sunday but some students have not turned it in. So please make sure they will turn it in. There is no other HW, please work on these. All the best!

Assalamu Alaikum:

Today we listened to few children so the recitation for Quran Competition. All children were not prepared to do the recitation and we did not ask them to do the recitation.

We also spent a lot of time reviewing and finalizing the skit lines. The final version of the skit lines are attached; please have your children memorize these lines. I have added lines for Faaris and Hebah since the skit is now scheduled for April 28 (and not for April 14).

Assalamu alaikum, This Sunday I was not able to take class and Ms. Humaira took the class. Due to some technical difficulties we could not take the test. So, we will have the test on April 14.
