I will link the student copy and filled out copy of the study guide to this message. They also practiced reading Arabic in Lessons 3 and 4 of the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book.

Next class will be a review day. The test on Surah Al-Qadr and the first 4 lessons in the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book will be on October 6th In Shaa Allah.

If students do not have either the "A Student's First Guide to Juz'Amma" book or the Noorani Qa'idah "Master Reading the Quran" book, please let the office know so that the student can get these books and be prepared for class.

Salaam parents,

It was nice to meet some new faces today.

All students should now have their book, and a green folder in their backpacks as well as a yellow notebook for note-taking in class. Some students are missing the yellow notebooks, I'll hand them out next week.

We worked on Unit 1: Chapter 2 today and answered questions at the end of the lesson.
We also learned meanings of 2 of the names of Allah and Then we learned the wudu steps.

Please make sure to check your child's green folder every week as it will have homework/study guides etc.

This week the green folder has 2 flash cards we made with the names of Allah in school. The goal is to make one for each name of Allah we will learn and then use them to study at home. I will be putting these names/meanings on their regular tests/quizzes. So please make sure you go over them with your child whenever possible every week. All the flash cards are to be kept in the green folder.

I also sent home a parent contact form in the green folder. Please fill it out and send it back next week. I will be making a whatsapp group just for our class to make communication easier.

Homework this week is to study the wudu steps we went over in class today. They have a quiz next week and I told them the top 2 scores or everyone who gets a perfect score gets to pick a small prize.

Dear Parents,

Assalam alaykum,

We had a fantastic first day at Sunday school, and we’re excited about the year ahead. Here’s a brief recap of what we covered and the homework assignments for next Sunday:

-Classroom Rules and Dress Code

-Syllabus Overview:

Quranic Studies: We will focus on memorizing and understanding the three surahs: Surah Al-Fajr, Surah Al-Ghashiya, and Surah Al-Ala. This includes understanding their meanings and reflecting on their lessons.

Dua’as: Learning and memorizing essential supplications.

Names of Allah: Exploring a selection of the 99 Names of Allah to deepen our understanding.

Arabic Language Skills: Emphasis on strengthening spelling and writing skills.

Presentations: Students will complete four presentations throughout the year. The first presentation, due October 27th, is on "The Miracles of the Quran." They may work in pairs or individually.

Homework Assignments:
Please provide your child with a notebook dedicated to Quran class. Divide the notebook into two sections:

1. Quran: For Quran-related notes and activities.

2. Arabic: For Arabic language practice.

Homework #1: Have your child practice writing their full name in Arabic in the Arabic section of their notebook. We worked on their first name in class, but they may need your assistance with their last name.

Homework #2: Please have your child listen to various Quran recitations on YouTube and choose their favorite reciter. This will help them find a reciter they enjoy and make the memorization process more engaging and enjoyable.

Please ensure the notebook and 'A Student's First Guide to Juz 'Amma' textbook are brought to class next Sunday. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
